Tomatoes and the Bonner CSL

Today I was able to donate a pound of cherry tomatoes to the LEADS program at the Bonner Center for Service and Learning.

Cherry tomatoes grown in Oberlin, August 2011

The LEADS program is a great opportunity for student leaders at the Bonner Center to learn new ways to engage the Oberlin campus and community. I participated summer of 2010 and loved it! I was happy to donate these tomatoes for one of the many local snacks they will have for the two-week program. Good luck LEADS participants and enjoy the local food!

I will have to harvest some more cherry tomatoes soon. They are all ripening up so quickly.

Oh, and some bean plants sprouted over the weekend. They look strong and promising. You go black beans!
