Seeds, Starts and Bunnies

This week we started some broccoli plants for the fall. Full of vitamin c and dietary fiber, broccoli does well in cool fall weather so hopefully there will be some thriving crops later in the season.
After contacting the Green Edge Fund late last week, I was able to purchase some cauliflower and cabbage plants. The cauliflower was direct sowed into the beds, and later in the season the newly purchased cabbage with be added to the garden.
In other news, during routine garden maintenance today I discovered two baby bunnies that had snuck into the garden. I originally thought that the bunnies had entered the garden to eat some of the immature plants sprouting up but it seemed something had gotten to them before they could eat any plants. The deceased bunnies were promptly removed, and it was a sad day in the garden.
